Age gap in dating?

Love defies logic, therefore can not be coded.

Oh, no........
No, nononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononononono; My friend.......

Love obeys logic........It's just a logic so deeply hard wired in, and completely indecipherable to all of us mere mortals...... That you aren't schmart enough to (de)code it; And we shouldn't even be having this entire discussion in the first place!:p;):p

Yet meanwhile, (and also at the same time)........
There are definitely some instances of celebrity behavior that shock even my sensibilities, no question, no excuses, not OK.

Haha! It's hard wired in alright. The desire to reproduce is a basic purpose of all life. ;)

I must admit I don't really agree with the romantic notion of love, but I do know that a marriage partnership involves give and take, learning to live with someone. And nobody is perfect, we all have our flaws.
If by 'love' you mean caring about that person, being prepared to support them and stick with them, whatever happens, then I can understand that.
But the above only becomes apparent after you've lived with someone closely for some time. Hence the high divorce rate we have. This proves that what people think is 'love' at first, actually isn't.

I keep coming back to this thread as I think of other stuff, but don't you think that the media and entertainment industry fuels this notion of romantic love? Giving people ideas of something which doesn't exist? There's no doubt that when two people first meet there can be a spark, and certainly there's a lot of animal attraction. Is that love? Do people expect that feeling to last? Why then do we have loads of marriages failing due to extra marital affairs? Are people trying to re-kindle that excitement because their marriage has lost it? And they think they've 'fallen out of love'?

@LV426 I used to think the media made up the whole romantic love and cute relationship crap, during my first marriage. Then I got divorced, believed love was an imagined thing. until I met my current wife, and now I know that as much BS as Hollywood bakes into "love stories" true romantic love is out there, if you're lucky enough to find it. ;)
