I think it'd be useful to have an agree/disagree option within each post. It'd help to cut down on the simple "I don't agree with this"/"OMG I'm so with you!" posts that clutter up the fora.

Simple concept- if you agree/disagree with a post but don't really have anything to say beyond that, you just click either "agree" or "disagree."
That way, instead of one post having 8000 simple "I agree" comments, the post would look like this:

"Your mom is a ho."

[Agree (500)] [Disagree (7500)]

That's a lot of beat downs to dish out for the diss.

OOH! I didn't know there was an "ubuntuforums.org" ... I only switched to Ubuntu recently. Thanks for mentioning them*. I need to go add their RSS feed to may daily routine :-)
