Ahh Help no Internet on my pc!!

Someone please help me I have no internet on my pc and tether which used to work isn't anymore :(

This is what I have found out so far what it could be and what error messages I'm getting...


Ok so first off I'm using windows 7 with a wireless network adapter that is usb tenda

Last night I tried to reset my ip address I don't really remember what happened with that it might have messed up I don't know

I do get the following error messages when using command prompt to try to renew my ip address: no operation can be performed on wireless network connection while it has its media disconnected then I reset the wireless adapter by powering it off and on and then I got the following error message

An error occured whilr renewing interface wireless network connection a socket operation encountered a dead network...which i dont understand bc its my 3g service so it shouldn't be deaderation
 
Try going into Device manager and checking the status of your device.

if it comes up with no errors then back on cmd do this

ipconfig /release && ipconfig /renew
 
Ok so I figures it out and I have the following error message from command prompt btw now I'm directly connected to the internet via modem and the error is as follows no operation can be performed on local area connection 2...now what?? That was after I tried the ip thing you told me...???
 
First, I'd edit out your email.... never know who (or what bots) crawl the forums....

Secondly, did you go into device manager? If so, what did it say about the status of your devices?

Right click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager should get you there, I'm a little out of date on Win7, so the steps might not be verbatim...

You say you are connected via a cable? So now the ipconfig should give you an address.

Did you install the driver for your wireless card/usb?
 
Thanks edited my email now it says everythings connected and running well yes I installed the drivers myself and it still don't work...it says I'm connected to a "unidentified network" with no network access...idk I'm stuck here :'( lol
 
Are you getting an IP address?
(cmd ipconfig) [it should be something like Wireless LAN adapter 1 or Local Area Network adapter 1 (for wired) ]

If you are getting an IP address, that is good. If you are not, then it seems there is a problem with the device or something like that. Possibly it was disabled?
