AIM, MSN...YAHOO...considered SMS's??? What da hell?

Phases, very valid point.

I think the frustration lies in that the IM = SMS was never a secret. I recall distinctly seeing that spelled out in black and white when I was ordering the G1 online.

I just don't understand people who spend a lot of money but do virtually no research on the device beforehand while maintaining very high expectations.

So much drama can be avoided or minimized in life if people just take the time to read up on something beforehand. We're sitting in front of a massive repository of information that is updated every minute. I just don't understand why people don't use it more often. 15 minutes of reading can save you hours of headaches.
 
It's like that with every carrier that I know of, and probably always been that way.

*disclaimer, by "I know of" I mean "I use Verizon, they've always been that way, T-M is clearly that way, and I believe I read on a post here that At&t and or Sprint is the same."
