Root AiO PackageSpectrum issue

Zyro71

Lurker
Hi everyone I have been following the guide to restoring my phone back to V6 for the spectrum so i can go grab ICS however I have run into a bit of a snag.

Currently, I have stock recovery and stock V6 on my phone but its rooted.
On top of this the AiOpackagespectrum no longer detects my phone no matter what i do. it just sits there after it starts the daemon and does nothing afterwards so i am stuck with a rooted V6.

Yes I have in in ethernet mode, it just stopped detecting my phone after restoring stock(I had rooted my phone a while ago and made a back up etc).
I've also had BrokenOut on my phone for a while so yeah, :x now just stocky stuff, but i feel like im stuck at the moment unable to do anything for good.

Anyone know how to fix this issue or atleast get rid of root so i can upgrade?
Thanks in advanced.

You can take the update rooted, provided you have all of the apps, they can be frozen, not uninstalled, As long as you have that and stock recovery and kernal, you'll be good. If you want to achieve unrooted just to be sure, do this and go with V6

I did that method except I used my backup

Now the main issue is I cannot get the CWM or anything running on my PC so i can do anything else.

I downloaded the ICS update right from LG's site on my rooted phone via USB. Download the necessary drivers, and then it will see the phone and allow you to update to ICS (this does unroot the phone though).

It does take a little time to do all the necessary steps, but if you want ICS (as I did) it was worth it.

Hope this helps you out!

That's kind of the point, if you want the update, you want CWM gone. What exactly is it you're trying to do?

If you used your backup, there is a good chance that you didn't have debugging turned on. Make sure this is set to on and your phone should be detected. If you're still having issues, grab romtoolbox and use it's option to reboot into recovery to access CWM recovery.
