Airplane Mode/GPS

[Android Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy 10 Tablet that my company has me use to call on retail stores. Can they track me with the App that is on it called Airwatch through GPS pinging off the cell towers even when it is in airplane mode? Can they disable the Airplane Mode feature in the background even though the Airplane Mode Icon appears at the bottom when I put it in Airplane Mode? They have somehow disabled Location Settings also. The Phone portion of the unit has also been taken out. It is used for Data only.

If it's really in Airplane mode, wifi and GPS are disabled, so there's no way to check your location. But if they have a modified OS, they may have GPS locked on even in Airplane mode.
