airplane mode vs shutting down

I typically shut down my phone at night but i notice the battery can loose quite some juice on power ups. sometimes 3-4%. do you think its better to not shut down but go into airplane mode instead? (including for charging)

I think hours of airplane mode would use alot more battery than hours of being switched off lol

Although startup does use quite abit of the battery, its still less than keeping it in airplane mode.

Maybe put it on charge for 5 minutes after switching it on in the morning, will keep it to 100%

I keep my phone on all night in case of an emergency, and I always wake up with 100% battery

ok something weird is happening. i can charge my phone with no probs while shut down or airplane mode. however if the phone is on my battery actually decreases! woke up this morning. switched on the phone without disconnecting it. showed 97% battery. went for a shower and when i came back it was actually 88% left! and it is actually charging ( i can tell cause it shows me the % on the lock screen).

is there a setting that can make the phone use more battery when plugged in?

Try getting Set CPU, put CPU at lowest setting.

just letting you know this file i mention IS SAFE, or as safe as root apps get, i did not put i BAD post i did however break forum rules... now that i look back i did post subject matter that was pirate related... sorry wont happen again.
