Help Airplane mode

I was noticing that my phone says that I need to put the sim card in and its only doing emergency calls only. So I took the battery out to make sure the sim card is still in there so doing everything all over and I went to my settings and the airplane mode was checked so i unchecked it but still says that. So would I have to take it to metro to get it fixed?

If sim card is in there and its receiving cell signal then its locked itself into E911 mode. Only fix I see is taking it to corp store for reprograming/exchange unless you fancy a reset to factory settings (after backing up all data).

Or maybe the sim card is damaged.
Yeah, I'd go to the store with it stat.
