Airpush adds made me crazy! HELP

fashosh

Lurker
Hello there; please help me get of those annoying Airpush based adds!
I installed many Airpush detectors, and also installed AVG antivirus; no app was detected. In the last few days a new generation of such 'add' had appeared! this new one SHOULD be viewed in order to remove it from the notification board; like this picture:

So can any one help me to get rid of those foolish adds?
:(

Perhaps they're not Airpush, but a lesser known push ads thing? Maybe why the Airpush detectors are not finding them?

Where have you been installing apps and games from? Google Play? or somewhere else like 1Mobile or some other Chinese app store?

BTW "Asiacell" ... are you in Iraq?

Hello mikedt; I do not trust any place other than play store! & yes I'm Iraqi :)

Installing any free stuff from GO Dev Team will cause those. I installed a Hatsune Miku theme along with a locker and GoSMS, got flooded with that ad crap....

OK, I think that confirms my original thoughts as to where these ads might be coming from....China.

Thing is Airpush are not the only company doing push ads on Android. Airpush detectors will only detect the Airpush ones of course.

There are all option about push notification mentioned in El Presidente's link :)

But if these push ads aren't caused off AirPush it's maybe worth to mention these two options once again:

1) You'd try it with the app Notification History, free in Play Store.
But note, the app will show you any notification that apps are generating in the time span of monitoring.

2) You've Jelly Bean?

Jelly Bean introduced the feature to indentify the app which created a notification and disable the app's ability for notifications.

Do long press on the advertising's notification, that should pop up an "App Info" button you can press which will tell you which app has created that notification.
Also from there you can conveniently disable the app's ability for notifications, or if you want, uninstall the app.
