Help alarm blaring sound during calls

This has happened a few times to me already since I got the Charge (3 weeks ago). I'd be in the middle of a call and suddenly everything gets cut off and there's just a blaring sound in my ear (like those emergency tests on tv) but the call is still going, yet I can't hear anything. I'll hang up and then ever number i try to dial out after that just keeps repeating the blaring sound until I restart the phone. The recieving side says all of a sudden the phone just goes to a loud static sound on their end.

anyone have experiences like that? Is there a fix for it? I went to the verizon store to try to switch it out, but the manager said to just hang on to it, since it's a known problem, and to wait till the gingerbread update comes out (with no word when). thanks in advance for the help.

Never had such a thing happen, but the Verizon Manager would be having my phone surgically removed from his rectum if he told me that!

Just happened to me today while I was on the phone with tech support. Hate this phone.
