alarm clock issue

I like the HTC Eris, but I do not understand that if the ringer is set to vibrate my alarm clock will not ring at the designated time. It will just flash silently. Is there a fix for this. I am sure I can take my phone off of vibrate, but I never use the rigner on any phone. I just let it vibrate. Is this a quirk of the phone?

I dont use the alarm clock, but I know someone has posted the answer to fix this. Try searching the site and you will probably find it

When you are setting the alarm, while in that same screen, press the volume up button. Or you can download and alarm click from market.

Get the volume control app. The one with the blue speaker not the green eq columns/levels. It makes volume super easy to mess with.
