Is there any way to use an MP3 file with the stock alarm clock?

Try placing your .mp3 in the /system/media/audio/alarms folder. The default files are .ogg, but .mp3's are supposed to work.
It's always worth a try to restart. Based on jjrx3's response, mp3's should play. You could try making the Alarms folder under sdcard as he did.
I set it up as sdcard\media\audio\alarms but its not working.
