Alarm Issue

So I use a mp3 song as my alarm in the morning. The song is about 3 minutes long, but the S5 only plays about the first 30-40 seconds of it then stops and the screen goes blank. 5 minutes later, it repeats... plays 30 seconds and shuts off. Kinda like an automatic snooze. Except that I'm not easy to wake up and my wife gives me a jab after the second time because now she's awake and not happy that my alarm woke her up.

I have tried both options: "From the beginning" and "Auto recommendations" with the same result. I have also tried different mp3 songs. It seems to go into an auto snooze and even has the alarm icon with a "zZ" on it.

I'm using the stock alarm clock... maybe there's a better one out there.

Any one else experiencing this?

It appears that the powers-that-be have issued the S5 with a stripped down alarm clock.
I chatted with a tech last night and they told me they don't know if the good alarm clock will be back or not.
So, not much you can do, I'm afraid, with the stock alarm.
