Help Alarm not Sounding

I recently tried to set an alarm on my phone, and for some reason it's vibrating but it's not making a sound. I verified a sound it selected, and when I changed the sound it played for the test but not when the alarm time came. I also verified the alarm volume is maxed. Why might this be happening?

Maybe you have "do not disturb" enabled during the alarm time but have not made an exception for alarms? (In the settings for "sounds and notifications")

No, I made sure I was not on DnD, and I'm pretty sure I do have an exception for alarms.

Is the issue when using the stock alarm/clock app or a different one? My wife had a similar issue with a particular app from Playstore.
What device and android version do you have?
