Help Alarm Problem

So I've been searching around and it seems like androids in general have a problem with the alarm sound and where it's directed to.

Right now my alarm plays through both headphones and speaker. Is there anyway to direct the sound only through the headphones? It gets really annoying/embarassing when it goes off in public. I've tried other alarm apps but it still gives me the same problem. Any ideas?

I've had the same problem. This worked for me: set your phone on vibrate, and the alarm will only go through headphones (when you have headphones plugged in, obviously)

However, you should test this first. Just set an alarm to go off in a minute, and see if it'll just go through the headphones.
