alarm with same weather announcement every time

i setup the alarm with weather announcement. the alarm goes off but the woman gives the SAME weather every time. i notice she says the same temperature and news for the last five days.

the wifi on my phone is on and i expect the news to be current, yet it's not.

i can't imagine there is anything else i need to config for this.

anyone has the same issue with the news being not current??
 
Yep I find it unreliable. I noticed for me when the alarm weather was wrong, so was lockscreen weather. Turning it off the lockscreen and on again seemed to resolve
 
Both the accuweather lock screen info and the briefing alarm need wireless network location on to be able to update. Just in case you turned it off.

you are correct, once i enable the 'wireless network location', the weather and news are correct and they do not repeat again.
