I can set the alarm on my Samsung galaxy s3 mini. It will go off at the correct time but there is no sound! The sound is working on al other functions.

Hi and Welcome to the forums.
My wife had the same issue with her s3 mini. We solved it by installing an alternative alarm app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vp.alarmClockPlusDock
Not ideal but there seems to be an issue with playing sounds on the s3 mini.
Hope this helps
