albums/background images bug

i just bought my girlfriend the hero and she has no problems changing the background on the lock screen just the same as you would change the desktop background. i got my hero a couple weeks ago. mine will not let me change the lock screen, it is not reading the stock background images the way the desktop background does.

any ideas?
