This is just a simpler, more detailed guide on how to root this phone.
This Method is for windows only
-Download the rootpackage.rar and decompress to somewhere safe.
-install Sugar_Qct
-Place SuperSU on your SD card.
-Put phone in download mode and fire up sugar.
-Update Sugar_QCT and select model 6055U from the Dropdown
-Open the install directory where you installed sugar and navigate to the bin folder and leave it open on your desktop.
-Run sugar and pay attention to your bin folder until 6055u-xxxx folder appears.
-Go inside the freshly created 6055u-xxxx folder and copy the full name of the file that begins with R. Rename the recovery file R******.mbn
-Copy your newly renamed custom recovery file and paste it into the created 6055u-xxxx folder, overwriting the file.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU LEAVE YOUR DEVICE PLUGGED IN FOR THIS STEP!
-When sugar gets to the part where it starts writing the data, 4095mb, reboot your phone to recovery and hopefully TWRP will boot.
-If TWRP doesn't boot, Go back to sugar and run the upgrade again repeating the process.
It is recommended to mount as read/write "Allow Modification"
-Once in TWRP it should ask if you want to leave system read-only.
If you choose yes, your custom recovery will always be overwritten with stock.
If that happens, just run sugar again until you see it finish writing your custom recovery R file and reboot to your custom recovery.
It will not wipe your phone.
If TWRP by chance doesnt ask if you want to leave system read-only, the option is located under the mount section. Uncheck it.

TIPS-TWEAKS
-Restore HotSpot/USB Tether functionality: Install Titanium Backup and uninstall com.tctApp.serviceEntitlement 6.0.1
-Disable USB Debug Notify on Status Bar(if you turned USB Debugging on): Use a root file browserthat allows to make System folder writable and open Build.prop and edit the line "persist.adb.notify=1" and change the 1 to 0, save and reboot.
Disable NFC(if you don't use it): Use a root file browser that allows to make System folder writable and open Build.prop and edit the line "ro.kernel.nfc.enable=true" and change true to false, save and reboot.
Disable Cricket Boot Sound: Use a root file browser that allows to make System folder writable and open Build.prop and edit the line "ro.boot.ringtone.enable=1" and change the 1 to 0, save and reboot.
You don't have to save and reboot right away if making multiple changes to your build.prop file, just save and reboot when finished
-Reboot to recovery and make a backup naming it Stock. That way if you mess anything up, you can easily restore the stock image and start again, while keeping your custom recovery.TIPS-TWEAKS
