Still no ideas about colors. There's SOME similarity in the groupings. Turquoise things are all liquid or water-ish (H2, geyser, tequila, water, etc). Green things are all trees, grasses, etc. Other than that... most things are kind of scattered. Are the colors just there to make us guess or something?

nope, only two elements at a time.

try combining elements just to see what will happen. also, two of the same elements will create something sometimes.
 
I downloaded the game on Monday while in line for Halo Reach and now have 186 elements! My son and I feed off of each other on this game! Love it!

Actually, Silver does make sense and you can get a great hint from Wiki. There is an old nickname for silver and a certain symbol has been used since ancient times to represent silver.

LOVE THIS GAME. Brilliant in its simplicity.

I am stuck on the petroleum line. Have coal, O2, CO2, H2, alcohol.... not sure where to go from there. Have wheel, bicycle, steam engine... but can't find any combination that moves me to the next level.

Also don't have any buildings bigger than a hut. Hut + brick = nada. Hut + tool = nada.

So far both The Beatles and Lance Armstrong have made me laugh out loud.
