Help Aldiko ebook reader keeps vanishing from desktop

Something about Aldiko is different from every other App i've used. It continually vanishes from the desktop. I've not been able to work out what the common factor is between all the occasions. I have to reset it from the List and it continues to work rather well. It's between uses that it vanishes.

The main reason I like that reader is because frequent changes in ambient light in a moving train requires something that makes that adjustment easy. If another reader can do that, I might try it instead.

is is stored on an sd card? If so maybe try moving it to main memory?

Thanks for the suggestion. Might make a difference, but I don't see why when other apps on the SD card don't show the same nonsense.
