All apps won't open

I'm not sure if I have posted in the correct site of the forum since this is my first post and just registered about 10 minutes ago so I hope you guys will excuse me if I made this thread in a wrong place.

Yesterday while I was taking photos during a trip, a voice in my phone suddenly said, "Your phone is overheating." So I turned it off and removed my battery to cool it down. After about 20 minutes I placed it back and turned it on but it won't open. It was stucked in the logo of Myphone (the brand). I removed the battery once again and left it like that for 2 hours. It managed to open after that, but all apps won't open at all. The internet, bluetooth, wifi, gallery, file manager and other things that were already installed before still work, but all apps from the Play Store won't really open no matter what I do. The shortcuts are still in my main screen, but whenever I click a thing, Temple Run for example, it will just say, "Unfortunately, Temple Run has stopped." Sometimes it will say that "App isn't installed."

I have checked my phone storage in file manager, it still contains the apps so I don't understand why it won't open. Oh and by the way, some folders are suprisingly empty o.o

I've tried searching the internet regarding this problem, but unfortunately the only solution I've found is doing a factory reset which I honestly don't want to happen because all of my progress in the games will be erased as well.

If any of you knows how to fix this without doing a reset, then I will greatly appreciate your help. Thanks. :)
