Help All browsers keep FC - Should I Factory Reset?

Hi everyone. I have a 2013 16G N7, not rooted. I am running 5.0.2, though my problem is older than this version. My trouble is that any browser I use will either crash, freeze or FC many times every day. (I use the browser a lot.)

I typically have Facebook open in one tab (I don't like the FB app) and usually several other tabs open, depending on what I am doing. This doesn't really seem to matter for the crashing. These days I mainly use either the latest version of Firefox, or the latest Chrome.

I have tried:

• cleaner apps like SD Maid Pro
• clearing the cache partition
• restarting
• removing unused apps

So far, nothing has made much difference. It just crashes every half hour or so, unpredictably. Does anyone know of anything else I can try? I'm considering doing a factory reset, but am hoping I don't have to go that far. Thanks!
