You're just just going to patch the tampered flag yourself in the bootloader, yes?

Understand - just making sure that you're using scotty's simple method and not doing the actual text edit / bootloader replacement.

We didn't it the second way on the LTEvo, but now we have scotty's way and I think it's better.

OK, thanks. I'm waiting for it to finish with a new restore. I'll update in a bit.

Failed to restore on a previous update. Trying the one from 7-15, which did work in that endless loop scenario mentioned above.

7-15-14 nandroid successfully restored, but it keeps looping to the white screen with green htc. It goes to that screen, stays there for a bit, goes black, goes back to white screen, etc. etc.

This is truly frustrating, to say the least.

dont think i posted here ....finally fixed my random default ringtone issue - wasnt anyting viper at all, was my ringer profile app getting confused after flash/restore, and then using default rather than the ringtone it should have used
...all sorted

Thanks for the tip there - I did see this option on the youtube video. I will make certain I take a Nandroid backup first with TWRP.

To stock ANDROID,yes,now sitting on 4.4.4
HTC is pushing 4.4.3,which has all the goodies from 4.4.4 baked-in to their version.
That will get us to ANDROID L,whenever that hits the street.

However,as for the VIPER ROM on the M8,still at 4.4.2:

Get your nandroid backup done, Viper users, because 4.4.3 is likely to drop this weekend - Sunday.

Sprint users - if you want to do a new install rather than an update, the installer is updated so that touch works. Also see the Sprint TWRP thread (posting next).

S-off users - time to update your firmware if you haven't already!

@ All, go to the VenomHub->addons->hotfixex and install the hotfix for the OTA.

A bugfix ota will be pushed soon...with working wifi calling. Unfortunately I broke the OTA system in the fullrom -.-

That's for 2.0 btw.

So it sounds now like they're doing a hotfix from the hub to fix that the OTA is broken and then are going to OTA bug fixes.

I'm faithfully confused.
