Help All clock widgets stopped working!

Hi all. I'm loving my S3, but tonight something weird happened. At precisely 23.06 hrs the digital clock widget stopped working on both my and my brother's S3. (We share a house FYI.) I didn't notice this until half an hour later.

I removed the widget and tried to reinstall it. But it simply won't display. However something is still there, because if I press on the screen a white rectangle shows up and I can delete it in the waste bin. I have tried restarting the phone 2 or 3 times to no avail. What's more, I am unable to load ANY of the clock widgets now!?!

By the way my brother restarted his phone and managed to reload his clock. But mine won't have it. This is a bit worrying when I haven't had the phone a week yet.

Can someone out there suggest what the problem is and how I can get the clock back?

That is weird. Are you on the same carrier? and do you have autoupdate time based on carrier? Perhaps something happened there but I don't know why the widget would crash like that

Hi there. Yes, we are both on 3 UK. And we both have time and date set to auto-update based on the network.

What is even stranger is that for both of us an app called 3G Watchdog (which monitors your data usage per month, so you can keep tabs on your contract maximum) crashed at the same time. We both used 3G Watchdog on our previous phone and never had a problem. I was able to restore the app, but my brother not. However he managed to restore his clock. I have no idea whether this might be the problem, i.e. some conflict between the two?

I might try uninstalling 3G Watchdog and seeing what happens. But as things stand this morning I still cannot load any clock. As I said most of them simply won't display at all, although apparently they are there. The odd one or two that will display have no time showing on them.

No, it's not 3G Watchdog. Completely uninstalled the app, restarted the phone and tried to load the clock again. No difference.

By the way the clock on the weather widget is working fine.

But this is starting to annoy and worry me. I really don't want to have to do a factory reset (don't even know how to do that, but presumably I'd lose all my loaded apps, settings, browser bookmarks, etc...?)

Anyone else got any ideas?

Well after a call to 3 UK I have managed to sort out the problem with a quick reset of the sim card - switched off the phone, removed the sim, waited a while, put it back in and restarted. Now all widgets working fine. :)

Still no idea what caused it, but it must have been some kind of network glitch seeing as the clock on 2 phones on the same carrier in the same room both stopped at the same time.
