All emails will auto open

When I am reading or typing an email or just browsing on my phone, if I get a new email, it will open over what i am doing. Even if I am in a email typing, the new one over rides and opens up. Happens on outlook and gmail both, in fact one will open then the other.

I would think this is a setting I could turn off. Any ideas?

You have to go to drafts and re open it to continue...
