All i ask is for wallpapers that occaisionally move...

So ever since hearing about live wallpapers, i have been immediately anxious to get them on my eris. The first 2 times i upgraded to the leaked versions of 2.1 i was unsuccessful in getting live wallpapers, and also today when i upgraded to the 3rd leaked version i was still disappointed. So at this point ill try about anything, because all i want is live wallpapers.

So my question is, how do i get the wallpapers and what do i need to do to get them.

Root your phone. I believe Live Wallpapers is one 2.1 addition left out of the Eris 2.1. I remember HTC announcing that 2.1 on the Eris would be a modified version.

Can i still root my phone even though i have the 2.1 leaks? Im sure this is a dumb question but its worth me not having to panic about it while im doing it.

No, you can not. You need to be on a 1.5 phone. There is no way to virginize your phone. Once you have 2.1, there's no going back.
