Help All my text messages vanished.

Yesterday, I got a text from Sprint. Right then I noticed that it was now the only text thread in my list. Tried rebooting phone. Still gone. Not a huge deal, but it would have sucked if I had something important that I didn't want to lose. I checked my settings and I am not set to purge anything. Is this a possible side effect of 2.2?

It may be a *possible* side effect but it isn't a definite side effect. I updated to 2.2 and all my texts were intact.

What a bummer =( I hope someone else can be more helpful... frustrating problem to have, especially with no obvious explanation.
