Help All the solutions to the wifi problem is...

My router is a belkin N200 I believe and I have read that so far the solutions are, a new router, new phone and what else? Which router worked for the ones that opted for a new router? Im looking to not break the bank on a new one.

Try renamin your ssid first, then try switching modems. If your read my thread you would see i said a 30 dollar netgear worked fine for me from walmart. You dont need anything special, it just depends on how finicky your phone is.
 
I dont know what it means to rename an SSID or what it is. I don't have access to a computer now and my router has no buttons on it. Can you tell me the model number of your netgear..I'll see if I can order one on Ebay or something.

Some people (not trying to say this about OP) just don't have the capacity to install a custom ROM. Some people don't want to, hell some people don't even root their phones just because they're concerned with doing so. Flashing a new rom may be a viable solution for you but that doesn't mean that it is for everyone.

To OP the model of the netgear that I got is WGR614 v.10.
 
the problem is the SSID which is the name of the network you connect to like "neighborhood wifi" change it to "blank wifi" or whatever i had the same problem the wifi would disconnect and would not stay connected... after changing SSID no problems at all

I could swear I said this before, but that's not ALWAYS the fix. LG gave us shitty software that wasn't tested and it has leaks. because of that the solution will vary.
That's why they need to read the entire thread again and see what works for them, and stop expecting one solution to fix a problem with multiple reasons for occurrence.
 
I know the perfect Fix , I had the problem too! Download "FXR Wifi fix and rescue" It fixs your Wifi (It says Use as a last resort!) It works awesome! After it is done , Hold the power button until the menu comes up and you click reboot , then it reboots (During the process of fixing wifi , it disables your Mobile data and you must do the reboot to use mobile data or wifi , don't worry it is safe!
 
Your are right , LG did give us some sh!tty hardware in this case , Just looking at the files scripts and etc. I can tell they did not put much work into this , and I have the day they completed this LG Stock Rom (It is OLD!)
