Help Allow Unknown Sources not there anymore

[stayley]

The Allow Unknown Sources option is no longer listed on my x10 AT&T. It disappeared with the update to 2.1

I have the phone rooted already but not sure what to do from here.

Thank you.

The Allow Unknown Sources doesn't appear on some phones in the states where providers removed these options.

When you upgraded to 2.1, if you upgraded through PC Companion or SEUS then you downloaded the software reserved for your phone...so if it was originally an AT&T phone, it got the 2.1 AT&T software.

To fix it, you would need to re-root, and download the x10 Loader and then download a generic copy of 2.1 and install it.
