Help AllShare - exclude folders?

AllShare works really well between my Note and my Samsung TV. But Samsung have fallen into the same trap that all manufacturers seem to fall into lately - and that is assuming we want every app to scan and include ALL our videos/photos/music and to not give us the choice to say either where we want it to look or where we don't want it to.

So - AllShare has all my nice family videos ready to throw on to my TV but also loads and loads of more dubious videos sent to me and downloaded from the murkier parts of the internet.

I've tried creating .nomedia files in the correct places but that doesn't seem to help. Any way of pointing AllShare at just one folder?

I have never used AllShare so I cannot help you directly, but I can suggest a very ugly hack: You could use file locker to obfuscate the file names and/or encrypt the files you don't want to access. A lot of work I know, and a pain in the ass, but it will certainly work.

i tried to play a music album other day but it loaded everything on alphabetical order and had to play in that order grr
