Allshare hub

I was thinking... at an asking price of $99, wouldn't it be better to just buy a Samsung Blu-ray player that had this built in four the same price (or cheaper)?

I wanted to get an idea from you guys that have used Allshare or Allshare Play (what's the difference anyway?) to see if it performed as advertised--will it stream content from my phone well?

I really hate wires so the MHL adapter didn't work out for me. Could barely use the phone without somehow disrupting the connection..

I want to know also your opinion on the PQ (pic quality) of the streamed video. And the PQ of "streaming" video--the content streaming directly from Netflix or Amazon Instant video to my phone and then to the screen.

Anyway thanks in advance :)

Be careful of the difference of AllShare and AllShare Cast. My Samsung TV has AllShare but it doesn't work with the Note II AllShare Cast. All it does it to let you play media on your PCs or Note II on the TV, and the bandwidth is not that great. If there video is HD, it will keep buffering.

From what I read, the AllShare Cast Hub is better. It lets your mirror your phone. And it doesn't buffer even with HD contents. I don't have it so I don't have any first hand experience.

Yeah the guy at the T-Mobile store was talking about them using it for watching football on the big screen. I'll be tempted to pick one up.

Do they have the Allshare Cast built into any Bluray players?
