Almost deaf or so my wife says (software question)

I am looking for apps for the hearing impaired.

Specifically, I would like to set my Sprint htc phone so that email from a specific target makes it ring & flash until I answer or until the battery shuts it off.

I need it to get my attention even when I have difficulty hearing it ring.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
