Hi, First, sorry if this is a repeat question. I can't find anything current with this issue (everything is old and as we know this technology keeps changing). Basically, I have an app published to the Play Store (version 1) that has Expansion Files and is a paid app. I have a new version in Alpha Testing (version 4) that uses the same Expansion files. I have the version 1 installed and paid for from my account. I become a tester with the same account and go to the Google Play store and see now that the app says "UPGRADE" (checked and it says version 4) -- all is good. I upgrade it just fine. But when I run it, I get the very quick message "Looking for resources to download" and then I get the error: "Download failed because you may not have purchased this app."
I have cleared cache/data from my app and tried again. I have uninstalled completely and installed fresh from version 4 and get the same issue. The version 1 when I reinstall that one (after leaving being a tester) it works fine.
Any ideas? What am I doing wrong? Why can't it download my Expansion Files in Alpha Test release when it's the same Expansion Files in Production and I have purchased it?
