Root Alright, can SOMEONE PLEASE come up with a ROM for this thing already?

Lurker
Ive had this phone for a while now, anxiously awaiting some nifty little bells and whistles I can soup it up with and it seems like theres cobwebs accumulating on these threads now!:slug::hello2:is there ANYBODY who has the gumption and wherewithal to take an existing ROM from the m+'s nearest parallel model and tweak the parameters to make it work for this apparently forgotten handset? (KUDOS for playful god's plague kernel,:adore: nuts to the wifi snafu though) i pray that some even remotely competent dev can hear this cry for help, and I'm sure that I speak for at least 1,000 if not 10,000 anxious and worried rooted optim-plus users here. . . can i get a hell yeah?

thank you greatly in advance

I'm not a developer myself but I think what you could do is learn how to do the stuff yourself. That's your best shot at a ROM. ROM making isn't easy. It takes time and effort to make them and the creators are doing it without any guaranteed compensation. The phone may get some developers eventually but for right now I'd say that what you should do is to learn how to make ROMs yourself.

I agree with HyphyPurple. There are lots of people working on Roms and stuff but they don't have lots of time for that. They got other things to do too ! So if you want a Rom really bad and don't want to wait "MAKE ON YOURSELF" or just wait and be patient.

well, thats the thing. I dont have the time to learn all the ins and outs of the miles of code or memorize the difference between the dirty ratio and the :hahaha:swappiness (-- that sounds like a different word if you say it fast enough ) or all the variables contained within their respective spectrum of settings. i mean that could take upwards of ---:alberteinstein: 4712.31495 hours and i have a life full of sex, work and questionable substances that takes up all the time i would be able to blow crunching parameters and learning how to take a system dump before i flash my firmware. thats what dev's get slightly compensated for doing for us - which their e-cardboard "donate please to say thanks - i need beer money/diapers for my kid" space on the bottom of their post is for. and if that offends anyone, :flowers: please accept my deepest entitlement to my candor.

and yes I do see the irony in how much time this had to take to type --- that sort of thing amuses me greatly. so spare me the rebuttal posts of if i took half the effort i spent in this post id be fiddling my new rom instead of complaining about somebody else doing it for me. :listen:

So bro....you know there like a crapload of devs out there that are doing this out of the good of their hearts lol...everything isnt all about money...and you also make it sound like rom making is just end of the world hard when it isnt just go on youtube and there are plenty rom making tutorials...but guaranteed compensation...wow lol

Just hold on and be patient i started a Rom last night and im going to be working day and night to get it out to yall ASAP. Im going to need a few testers so let me know!!
