Root [ALT ROOT] LG Marque: Based On The ZV4 Update!!

Hey!! I Found An EASY Way To Root The LG Marquee Since The KDZ Updater Tool Is A Pain In The Arce!! (No Offense Jaybps3) Well Anyways, Lets Get Into It!!


Root: You Don't Need To Download Any Drivers Or Anything. Just Make Sure Your USB Debugging Is On!

1. Go To This Website ----------> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276

2. Download The Attached APK At The End Of The Post #1

3. Install It On Your Phone (And Make Sure "Unknown Sources" Is Checked)

4. Run It And Pick Either Superuser Or SuperSU (Your Choice!)

5. After You Pick Your Desired Root Tool, Hit "Gimli"!

6. Reboot Marquee

7. ???

8. Profit!!


CWM: You Can Either Get It From Your Computer In The "Root The LG Marquee Step By Step" Thread Or You Can Go To ROM Manager And Pick the One For The LG Marquee! If You're Doing This On your Phone, You Should Do The ROM Manager Way!

1. Download ROM Manager From The Play Store

2. Click "Recovery Setup"

3. Click "ClockWorkMod Recovery" (In The "Install or Update Tab" AKA The First One )

4. Confirm Your Phone Model (LG-855 Or LG Marquee)

5. Let It Do It's Job And You're Done!!!!

To Get Into CWM, Hit The Power + Volume Down Button.

Now You Can Go For These Awesome ROMs In This Forum!!! Hope I Helped!!

Very nice 1234west. I know a whole lot of people who wish this was around when they rooted their phone. This really simplifies the whole process. Thanks for sharing your findings with the community.

I see this as a HUGE find!! AS a matter of fact, I'm going to ask that this be added to the root guide and even be made a sticky. 2 thumbs up buddy!!:thumb::thumb:
