Alternative battery

Hello all!

I have just purchased a new phone so I'm new to all this android smart phone stuff!

I've followed guides on here to help battery life which has helped a lot, but I want another battery as backup in my wallet

I've seen plenty on Amazon and ebay, does anybody recommend a generic with more power than the original?

Seen some gold ones with mixed reviews. Any help would be appreciated

I recently started getting 45 minutes of back up while using there wise my battery comes for a day or even 2. I did some searching and found that the high capacity batteries don't make a big difference and some of the cheep ones can even spoil the phone. batter to stick to original ones i guess.

I will update how my new battery comes once i get the delivery.

I just wanted to update my post above.

Its been 3 days I now i am using the new battery. charged it over night before first user. don't think that helped any way so ace does not show charging indicator after battery full notification.

with a minimal usage, whats apped all day, couple of calls and an hour of torrent download over wifi I had little over 40% of battery at the end of the day.

very happy with the battery back up now, mostly because I don't have to carry my data cable around.

Be sure to completely train the battery up to 5 times when you get it - these batteries need trained, so to speak. Don't charge them when they are near or half full. Drain them totally and they will last longer.
