Alternative smileys?

I have an HTC Desire, now my wife has a brand new Android phone. What would make her happy would be able to view smileys in a more traditional form rather than the Android-themed ones.

Is it possible to download an alternative set of smileys?

See the framework-res link in my sig, there are a few different sets in there. You will need to know or learn ADB to pull your framework-res and edit it.

@X10iUser Thanks for both links. I don't think that adb (or safely using it) is beyond me, so when I get a quiet hour I will try this.

Have you any idea what the icon sets look like in each set?

I do indeed as I've collected them, will take a few screenshots after making a coffee and letting the dog out.

Hi Everyone,

i know i might be a bit late but i have a HTC Wildfire and i really hate the green smileys like -

i like the blackberry ones. Is their anyway i can get them or something like them i want the love heart and the face etc. i have handcent but their smiley face looks like it has been drawn by a two year old - the smile is wonky! please reply i really want some new smilies.
