Hi,
I've been using Action 3 Launcher for quite a while now but wondered if others can recommend a different launcher for a try. Things I particularly like about Action 3:
- What they call, I think, 'shutters'. Like folders but a tap on the default icon directly opens that app whilst an upward swipe opens the folder.
- Once in a folder, you can assign a default widget to each app in there. So, tap an icon to open it but swipe up again to open the widget view of the app. Very handy, allowing you access to multiple widgets quickly but without the clutter.
- Swipe from left on the home screen to bring up a list of all apps
- Swipe on right to bring up the 'quick page', another screen that is always available regardless of which screen page you are on (so I use it for widgets that I don't want to be on my home screen all the time but easily accessible, like torch and beep n go for me).
I've played around with other launchers from time to time but have never come across any that have given me such different and useful behaviours as the above; they are really useful whereas other launchers just seemed to me to offer a slightly different view of the same things. Maybe I didn't look hard enough though, are there other launchers that can rival Action 3 for, what seems to me, real innovation in the way that it makes apps/widgets accessible?
