Alternative to Action 3 launcher?

Hi,
I've been using Action 3 Launcher for quite a while now but wondered if others can recommend a different launcher for a try. Things I particularly like about Action 3:
- What they call, I think, 'shutters'. Like folders but a tap on the default icon directly opens that app whilst an upward swipe opens the folder.
- Once in a folder, you can assign a default widget to each app in there. So, tap an icon to open it but swipe up again to open the widget view of the app. Very handy, allowing you access to multiple widgets quickly but without the clutter.
- Swipe from left on the home screen to bring up a list of all apps
- Swipe on right to bring up the 'quick page', another screen that is always available regardless of which screen page you are on (so I use it for widgets that I don't want to be on my home screen all the time but easily accessible, like torch and beep n go for me).

I've played around with other launchers from time to time but have never come across any that have given me such different and useful behaviours as the above; they are really useful whereas other launchers just seemed to me to offer a slightly different view of the same things. Maybe I didn't look hard enough though, are there other launchers that can rival Action 3 for, what seems to me, real innovation in the way that it makes apps/widgets accessible?

There are tons of Launchers out there I never heard of Action 3. Most people I've talked with seem to like Nova Launcher. I personally didn't care for it but I generally don't like whats popular. Personally I like and have used Total Launcher since its first beta release and before that I was using SSLauncher by the same developer. But in the end its really just going to be you downloading and trying and deciding which one is right for you.

Action is the only launcher I've used aside from Google Now Launcher. I've barely scratched the surface of its tools.

I suggest the you look at Nova Launcher. In particular look at the gestures. Some that I use a lot ...

Double tap toggles the notification on and off at the top of the screen.
Swipe down - one finger - open system display
Swipe down - two fingers - open App drawer

I use Nova Launcher Prime and it allow multiple collections in the app drawer. I could simply hide apps I ton;t want to see all the time. I prefer to move them to a page in the app drawer that I call Hide. I visit that page a few times a year.

The home screens can have icon groups.

There are many other options.

If you long press on a folder in Nova and select "edit" you will find that Nova can do the "tap to open first app in folder, swipe to open the folder" thing.

Another "died in the wool" Nova Launcher Prime user.....

I love the versatility of Nova..... if you can think of it, the Dev has made it available for you.
