Alternative to HiveLoader?

Hi,

I love this app, but because it doesn't support resuming I end up with a lot of half-transferred videos. Problem is you don't know they've failed until you try to play them back because HiveLoader reports them as 'downloaded' no matter what.

Has anyone found a workaround or an alternative?

HiveLoader? I know it's a tool for loading and backing up Windows Registry files. Nothing to do with Android AFAIK. What are you trying to do, transfer videos from a PC, or downloading them from the interwebs?

Oh, that's news to me, but the one I'm talking about is at hiveloader.com. I use it to download YouTube videos on an Android phone to be watched offline when I don't have access to wifi.

It's one of those oddities that isn't in the Play Store that you have to install manually. No idea why.

Because AFAIK Google terms and policies prohibits downloading from YouTube. I know my sister got some YouTube downloader apps from Amazon AppStore, so you can check there.

If creators want to enable their content in youtube to be played offline, they can enable that through the YouTube app itself. Alternatives methods through third parties that attempt to circumvent the YouTube TOS will be removed.

That explains it then, thanks. I don't do anything with these videos other than watch and delete them so it hadn't occurred to me. I'll check out Amazon instead.
