Am I imagining things?

This evening I remember that I had a 4GB Micro SD card around somewhere at home. Found it, inserted, formatted and transferred data from the 'old' 2GB unit that came with the phone.

Now - am I imagining things, but the phone seems to be running a bit faster. I think the card I inserted is a class 2. Now if a class 2 performs like this, the class 6 cards must take it to a new level of improved speed. If it's not the class of card, is it the capacity that influences speed?

How exactly does the read/write speed influence the general workings/speed/process of the phone?

If the Hero is using the card (or part of it) as a buffer zone to store information then the more buffer zone stores more info (like RAM) makes the phone work faster.

You probably won't find anything unles HTC releases detailed device specs. Something could perhaps be found in the linux kernel source they use, but somehow I doubt this is done on kernel level.

I never said it was a fact, I said IF the Hero uses the card as buffer...
