Am I missing something on this July 4th?

I get ya that it's Independence Day and all, but what is the point in letting off fireworks at 2PM in the afternoon? It's both bloody hot and bright out here!

Please someone educate me 'cause I'm confuzzeled...

I've given up trying to understand the fascination some people have with fireworks. Day off of work and early start on drinking, perhaps? Maybe it's an Ohio thing lol. (I'm in Dayton)

I think inside us all is a Pyromaniac awaiting to come out and enjoy blowing things up. I mean just yesterday I blew up a terrorist. (Ok I was on my computer and someone in a different country with different motives actually did all the work while I was clueless as to what was going on) See :D

Think I worked it out. It may be, given the extreme heat, that the police may be extra viligent about fireworks this year (anything stronger than something like a sparkler is pretty much verboten round here). My guess is that if they let them off during the day they may feel that they not get noticed by the boys in Blue.

I think...

I see that in New York you can get a $1000 reward for ratting on any neighbors that let off fireworks. Sheesh I could make a fortune here (she says as she hears 6 rockets fire off from a yard 1 block over) :sly:

But anything smaller than a bazooka is legal right across the river. Surely no one would bring them back to Ohio and actually set them off, right?:rofl:

I'm pretty sure some of my neighbors have stockpiled enough colored flashy explosives to give both IN and KY are run for their money....

Think half of Shelton Fireworks sales are to OH residents :)
