Am I missing something with Gmail?

My tablet and gnote have different layouts.. How can I fix this?

Some android apps have a phone mode and tablet mode; it is triggered by the screen's DPI setting. In this case, if I understand your question, is the difference. If you want your Note's g-mail to look the same as it does on your tablet, you will need to flash a custom rom that supports changing the DPI - one example [ROM][UCLF6][Friday the 13th] The Hybrid RCVII is LIVE . - xda-developers
