Am I the only one?

Samsmalls

That hates the fact that it doesn't notify me with a beep or vibrate for incoming texts mesg. During a call. I hate this and can't seem to figure out why this needs to be activated? Can anyone help?

You may not be the only one Samsmalls but I'll bet you're in the minority. Start a poll. I'd be mildly interested with the outcome. But like Clipp, I don't want or need the notification when on a call. I can look when the call is over if I'm that interested. But to interrupt me during a call when I may be saying or hearing something important is not something I'd want.

Oh, and btw, Samsmalls under your device listing you have your device as a Epic Touch 4g. Its actually called the Epic 4G Touch.

If it's the same as the other Galaxy S's, you could have alerts on calls if you hit the MENU button, then go to "call", go to "call alert", then you can have different options for the types of alerts you would like while on a call. Don't know exactly what situations you'll get the alert in as I use Handcent for text messanging which gives its own option for this.

I've used both ChompSMS and Handcent as my primary text messaging apps since I've been an Android owner (a little over 2 years now, second phone) and they both have options to turn off vibrate and sound notification of text messages while on a call.

I'd suggest downloading GoSMS pro...very customizable. Colors, backgrounds, bubble style, fonts etc... And you can set it to vibrate or beep during a call...My favorite is turning on the privacy notification so when friends are looking at your phone, they can't read the "sexts" coming in :)
