Hi, I was up early this morning and notice a new symbol popping up on my notification bar it looks like an asterisk with an a behind it and a arrow going to the right from under the asterisk. it looks like an amazon symbol but I can't find it anywhere and why is it popping up? it comes and goes. thanks for your help. won't let me post picture sorry. phillip

Amazon app notification symbol

you have the amazon app installed. it looks like there is an update or you need to adjust something in the apps settings (the cog plus the amazing iconic "smile" arrow). ive seen this mentioned on other devices, so its not something thats unique to your device (droid razar, htc desire...)
moved to APP section so others can chime in. As stated, this is no doubt tied to the amazon app that I am sure you have installed. when you pull doe the notification tray I bet it goes away yes?
check your settings within the app and see if there is something you can turn off.
if its a persistent little bugger, go itn its app in the manage apps section and clear that apps data/cache.

There was an update to Amazon App Store pushed out over the last week. I have notifications turned of in settings so I didn't get it, but it sounds like what you are seeing.
