Amazon Free App - SketchBook Mobile

Though i share. SketchBook Mobile is the free app of the day.

This app might come in handy for all note 3 users. Something new to use the S Pen with. :D

Just downloaded it but haven't test it out yet myself.

A version of Sketchbook, "for Galaxy", was preinstalled on my N3.

Differences?

I believe they are the same program. I started playing around with the stock version that came with my GN3 and it's pretty neat. I was able to do some cool little sketches with it.

It's funny, my Verizon GN3 had it on the phone already. My coworker who is on Sprint, didn't have it and only the paid version was available.

I'm on Sprint and the App is within the Galaxy Plus collection of Apps. SketchBook Pro for Galaxy 2.8.1.1
I just tried a demo unit and installed it (it was there, but needed an 'update'). Played with it and it does have a different UI compared to the other 2 versions (Mobile/Pro and Mobile/Pro for Note series). This version on the Note 3 is comparable to the Pro version for tablets and not the stripped mobile version. In all honesty, I don't like this version on the Note 3. The S Pen Menu that was used with the Note 2 and Note 10.1 is not present in the Note 3. This is probably because of the global air command the Note 3 uses. Don't really like that as I like to be able to share my drawing right away sometimes or import to S Note. Also the other paid versions auto hide the menu bar when drawing. The entire screen becomes the canvas. The Note 3 version does not hide the menu bar. It's a permanent fixture.

Has anyone tried alternative draw/sketch apps? If yes; what is in your opinion the best app? I'm going to pick up my note 3 this week and I'm trying to make a list of all apps I'll install once I get it. :)

I mostly do doodles and sketches. Black and white, no colour. More of a hobby of mine. I am still transitioning over to digital media though whenever I find the time (I still find myself going to pencil, ink and paper). I don't have a Note 3, but a Note 2 and 10.1. I also use a Wacom Intuos5 on the desktop to clean up some doodles and sketches I do on the Notes.

I have Sketchbook Mobile/Pro/Ink for the Galaxy Note (only available in the Samsung App Store). But it is not available for the Note 3. Only the Google Play store versions are. The Pro/Ink versions are only for the Note 8.0/10.1.

But the Note 3 does come with a tweaked version of Sketchbook Pro for Galaxy. It's probably the best you can get that is free. I paid for all the Sketchbook versions.

Another app I came across is Infinite Painter (Galaxy Note). Works with S Pen and also has pressure sensitivity. What caught me on this is that you can change the pressure sensitivity for the brush you are working with. You can choose opacity, size or both. You have more options for symmetry as well. For some reason, I found this had more options to tweak than Sketchbook.

But I juggle between the 2 apps. Sketchbook has some things I like about it and Infinite Painter has other things that make me go back to it. I really don't have a preference for either. As both offer something the other is lacking for me.
