Amazon Instant Video for Android ?'s

I'm using the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 and am an Amazon Prime member. I've downloaded whatever apps are necessary and am able to stream video successfully. My problem is that I don't see an option to actually download a video to my tablet. I know that "Prime" (free) videos can't be downloaded - only streamed. But on an iPad you can download a rental or purchase to watch offline. My kids do this on their ipads all the time. Is this a specific limitation for Android devices or am I missing something? I've been trying to download a movie that I actually purchased from Amazon and is in my library. If nothing else, I should be able to download an amazon video that I actually own, right?

Thanks!

I don't use Amazon Prime for videos (not available in my location), but Google Movies has a "pin to device" feature to allow you to watch offline. I'm guessing it should have the same feature, considering they're the competing services.

Thanks. I am aware of the Google play pin and use it often. However, since my husband and kids all use ipads and primarily rent /buy from Amazon, I'd like to have the download option for Amazon on my android tablet.
