Ambient Light Sensor Query

Frazzl

Lurker
Hi all,

I just have a question about my new Acer Liquid E S100. Screen brightness varies automatically it seems especially when I hold my phone sideways to get the landscape keyboard. Based on some Google searches, it seems that the phone has an ambient light sensor although I can't seem to find any official Acer documentation on it. I also can't seem to find a way to switch it off. It isn't too much of a bother, but I would like to confirm that the Liquid E has an ambient light sensor (and the screen is not on the fritz) and whether there is any way I could stop it from automatically activating.

cheers,

Frazzl :)

I managed to find it myself :). You can't use the "Acer Settings" widget to set screen brightness to manual. You need to use the actual "Settings" option (on that pseudo 3D screen with plenty of icons) to do so. Very strange XD.
