AMOLED display or Dual-core processor?

Hi all. I'm in the market for my first smartphone (verizon).

I am debating in between a phone that has a AMOLED display or one that has a faster spec dual-core processor. (I own a Cowon S9 so I know how AMOLED performs).

Are multi-core smartphones really a necessity to have if one wants to stay current with the upcoming quad-core processor phones? I am asking this because I will plan on watching flash video content mainly when browsing the internet from the phone, and I don't want to run into a hardware bottleneck.

Thanks.

Go for processing speed. I own both the new ipad with retinal display and a galaxy tab 7 + with only a (non-AMOLED) 1064 x 600 display. For internet browsing, I am really hard pressed to find a real picture quality difference. But when the streaming or video processing bogs down in the Samsung, it is really annoying. The samsung has a dual 1.2 processor, but I am guessing the 4 core gpu in the apple must make the difference because side by side on the same network, the ipad blows away the samsung.
