Help AMOLED Issue

Ls1ssz28

Lurker
I have had AMOLEDs before in the S2 and the Galaxy Nexus, but i noticed a small aread on the scree above the home screen that when it is diplaying black backgrounds it looks like a scratch... I have ran the LCD test *#0*# and it does not appear on any color other than black... is that normal?

I have a red wallpaper and it is not visible but when it loads and app or the app has a black background you can see the "scratch" so im wondering if it is worth trying to take it back?

I don't see any scratching that you describe, and I use a dark background on my screen. Blacks look solid. You should try taking it back.

I have a couple of little black spots here and there.
They become visible only (as for now) if you have a black background and you are in a very dark room. It is impossible to see them in everyday use. I hope it stays that way.

I googled it and it appears its a common amoled issue. I have two friends with S3s (black and white) and they both have those spots. They are not in the same shapes and places as mines.

If they become more visible Ill try to get a replacement but for now they are OK to go on with.
